Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data Rainy Network actually collects — on this website, on the game server, and on our Discord — and what we do with it. We collect little, and we say exactly what.
Not an official Minecraft service. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
1. Who we are
The service — the Rainy Network Minecraft server, this website and its store, and our Discord community — is operated by the Rainy Network team. For anything in this policy, contact legal@rainymc.net.
2. This website
This site has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies. The only thing it stores is your light/dark theme preference, kept in your browser's local storage — it never leaves your device. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses.
To function, the site makes requests to a small number of third-party services, which receive your IP address as part of any web request and operate under their own privacy policies:
- Tebex — loads the store catalog and runs the checkout.
- Google Fonts — serves the site's typefaces.
- Mojang profile lookup (via playerdb.co, with ashcon.app as fallback) and Mojang's texture servers (textures.minecraft.net, with mc-heads.net as fallback) — used only when you type a username at checkout, to verify it exists and show its skin before you pay.
3. Purchases
Payments are processed entirely by Tebex Limited as merchant of record. Your card or PayPal details go to Tebex and never reach us. From a purchase, we receive only what delivery and support require: the Minecraft username you entered, the items bought, and the transaction identifier. Tebex provides you a receipt and your purchase history.
4. The game server
When you play on Rainy Network, we process:
- Your Minecraft username and UUID — the public identifiers every Minecraft server uses to run the game.
- Your IP address — in connection logs, and in moderation records, where it is used to detect alternate accounts of banned players.
- Chat messages and commands — logged, and reviewable by staff for moderation.
- Gameplay data — balances, clan membership, statistics, cosmetics, kill records, and punishment history with its identifiers.
5. Discord
If you link your Discord account in-game, we store the link between your Discord user ID and your Minecraft account to sync your rank and roles. Tickets and appeals you open on Discord, including their contents, are visible to staff.
6. How we use data — and how we don't
Everything above is used for exactly four things: running the game, delivering purchases, moderating the service, and answering your support requests. We do not sell, rent, or trade any of it, we run no advertising, and we build no profiles of players.
7. Retention and removal
Data is kept while it is needed to operate the service. To request removal of data connected to your account, email us; we will honor the request except for moderation records — such as punishment history and the IP matches behind it — which we retain where needed to keep bans enforceable.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold, and payment data never touches our systems by design. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes and acceptance
This policy may be updated as the service changes; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
