CREATOR PROGRAM

Production support
for content creators.

Rainy Network develops and operates every system on its servers in-house. Creators working with us receive scheduled events, dedicated worlds, staff support and, where a project requires it, purpose-built development.

Scheduled events Custom development Dedicated worlds Staff support Audience giveaways

01What we provide

Production support, in six areas.

The program is built around what a video or a series actually requires: the world, the events, the engineering and the staff time.

Scheduled events

Run to your schedule

Blood moons, meteor showers, tornadoes, KOTH rounds and music-synced concerts are server-side events. Provide your recording or streaming window and a staff member triggers them on your cue, at the point in the session you want them.

Custom development

Built to your brief

New mechanics, bosses, items and event formats are written in-house, tested with you privately and released to the live server, credited to the creator who proposed them. Delivered under the terms in section 02.

Dedicated worlds

Private and purpose-built

A whitelisted world for the shoot, an arena built to your specification, spectator and administrative tooling, and world restores between takes so a failed attempt costs you nothing.

Staff support

On call for your session

A staff member assigned to your recording window for equipment, teleports, guest access and event triggers, with someone available to resolve issues as they occur rather than after the session.

Promotion

Across our channels

The Partner role, placement of your content in our Discord, a listing in the site news feed, in-game announcements while you are live, and a tag beside your name in the player list.

Audience rewards

For your viewers

Crate keys and rank codes for giveaways, viewer events on the live server, a clan set up for your community, and cosmetic items available only through your channel.

Scheduled events, dedicated worlds, staff support, giveaway keys and program roles are provided at no cost and carry no publication requirement. Custom development is the single exception; its terms are set out in the next section.

02Custom development

Custom development terms.

A custom build represents several weeks of engineering time, plus maintenance for as long as it remains live. It is scoped, quoted and delivered under one of two agreements, both agreed in writing before work begins.

Agreements · at a glance

Term Coverage agreement Commission
Fee Quoted, then waived in full on publication $1,500 – $50,000, per quotation
Provided by the creator One published video featuring the deliverable Payment. No coverage or promotion required
Deadline 60 days from release to the live server Not applicable
Payment terms None, provided the video is published 50% on acceptance, 50% on delivery
Licence Retained by Rainy Network. The work remains on the live server, credited to the creator Transferred in full to the creator. Not resold or reused by Rainy Network
If no video is published The quoted fee becomes payable as stated in the quotation Not applicable
Typically suited to Creators publishing regularly who want the build for a video or series Creators and organisations requiring ownership, or no editorial obligation

Fee schedule · indicative ranges

Tier Scope Indicative fee
Tier 1 A single mechanic, item, boss or one-off event, built on existing infrastructure $1,500 – $5,000
Tier 2 A minigame, event format or system affecting the whole server, including balance and testing $5,000 – $15,000
Tier 3 A gamemode, or any work requiring dedicated servers, worlds or infrastructure to be provisioned and maintained $15,000 – $50,000

Ranges are indicative. The fee for a specific project is confirmed in the written quotation and reflects scope, infrastructure requirements and delivery timeframe.

Terms

  1. Quotation

Every request for custom development is scoped and quoted in writing before work begins. The quotation states the deliverable, the fee, the delivery date and, under a coverage agreement, the publication deadline.

  2. Acceptance

Work begins only once the creator has accepted the quotation in writing. A request may be withdrawn at any point before acceptance at no cost to either party.

  3. Delivery

The deliverable is tested with the creator on a private world and then released to the live server on the agreed date.

  4. Publication

Under a coverage agreement the creator publishes one video featuring the deliverable within 60 days of its release to the live server. The video must be a public upload on the creator's primary channel in which the deliverable forms a substantive part of the content. It is unpaid, and it is neither scripted nor approved by Rainy Network; editorial control rests entirely with the creator.

  5. Waiver

On publication the quoted fee is waived in full and no invoice is issued.

  6. Extensions

Extensions to the publication deadline are granted on request, provided the request is made before the deadline expires.

  7. Non-publication

Where no video has been published and no extension has been agreed, the quoted fee becomes payable and is invoiced at the amount stated in the quotation. The deliverable remains the property of Rainy Network.

  8. Conversion

A coverage agreement may be converted to a commission at any time before the publication deadline, on the terms of the original quotation.

  9. Scope of these terms

These terms apply to custom development only. Scheduled events, dedicated worlds, staff support, giveaway keys and program roles are provided at no cost and carry no publication requirement.

03Program tiers

Two tiers. One application.

Applications are reviewed by the team and assigned to the tier that fits the channel or community. Media is the entry tier; Partner covers ongoing collaboration and development work.

Media

Open to creators publishing regularly about the network, at any audience size and in any language.

  • The Media role in Discord and distribution of your content through our channels
  • Advance notice of updates and event dates, so a video can be planned around them
  • A direct channel to staff for setups, spawns and in-game requests
  • Crate keys for audience giveaways

Partner

For established creators and partnered communities working with us on an ongoing basis.

  • All Media benefits, plus the production support in section 01
  • Custom development under the terms in section 02
  • Dedicated worlds, arenas and scheduled server time with staff support
  • Joint events with the team and cross-promotion across our channels
  • The permanent Partner role and in-game partner benefits

Selection criteria

Consistency is weighted above audience size: a channel publishing weekly to a small audience is a stronger application than a dormant channel with a large one. We assess publishing frequency or community activity, whether the content is the applicant's own, and account standing on the network.

Applications from accounts under an active ban or blacklist are declined. Appeals are handled through Discord, and an application may be submitted once an appeal succeeds. Recording on Rainy Network does not require membership of this program; the program exists for creators who want the network to build alongside them.

04Process

How a collaboration proceeds.

Most projects move from first contact to recording within two weeks, and faster where no new development is required.

  1. 1

    Application

Submit the form below, apply through the creators channel on Discord, or email partner@rainymc.net. Your channel links and a description of the project are sufficient.

  2. 2

    Review

The team reviews the application and responds in writing, normally within a few working days. Declined applications include the reason.

  3. 3

    Scoping and quotation

A Discord thread or a short call establishes the project, its requirements and the recording date. Where custom development is required, the quotation, delivery date and publication deadline are agreed in writing at this stage, before any work is carried out.

  4. 4

    Development

Engineering, world setup, arena construction and event scheduling are carried out by us, followed by a private test session with the creator ahead of the recording date.

  5. 5

    Recording

Staff are on call for the agreed window, events are triggered on your cue, guests are equipped and admitted, and backups are taken before and after the session.

  6. 6

    Publication

The finished video is distributed through our Discord, the site and in-game announcements. Under a coverage agreement, publication settles the quotation; the deliverable remains on the live server, credited to the creator.

05Application

After submission

  1. 1The application is reviewed by the team, normally within a few working days.
  2. 2You receive a response in writing either way, stating the tier offered or the reason for declining.
  3. 3Accepted applications proceed to scoping, where the project and any quotation are agreed.

06Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is there any cost to joining the program?

No. Scheduled events, dedicated worlds, staff support, giveaway keys and program roles are provided at no cost and require no video. The single exception is custom development, which is quoted at $1,500 to $50,000 and waived in full when the agreed video is published; the full terms are in section 02. We do not pay per video.

Why is custom development charged for at all?

Because it is engineering work rather than staff time: several weeks of development, testing and balancing, followed by maintenance for as long as the feature remains on a live server. Under a coverage agreement the video is what makes that work viable, and the fee is waived in full. Where no video is published, the fee reflects the work carried out.

What happens if the video cannot be published in time?

Request an extension before the deadline and it is granted. The invoice applies only where no video has been published and no extension was agreed. If a project is no longer viable, the agreement can be converted to a commission or the deliverable withdrawn by agreement.

Is there a minimum audience size?

No. Publishing frequency and community activity carry considerably more weight than subscriber or follower counts, and the Media tier is intended for creators who are still growing.

Which languages are accepted?

All of them. In-game text is in English, but content in any language is welcome, and applications are read in English and Spanish.

How far can a custom development request go?

Every system on the network is our own code, so new mechanics, items, bosses and event formats are routine work. A complete gamemode, or anything requiring dedicated infrastructure, sits at the upper tiers and takes longer. Submit the proposal and you will receive an assessment of what is feasible, by when, and at what fee.

Who owns the result?

The concept is always credited to the creator who proposed it. Ownership of the work depends on the agreement: under a coverage agreement Rainy Network retains it and it remains on the live server for all players; under a commission the licence transfers in full to the creator, and the work is neither resold nor reused by us.

Is program membership required to record on the server?

No. Anyone may record on Rainy Network and publish or monetise the result. The program exists for creators who want the network to build alongside them.
